We love all things to do with health, yoga, intentions and beauty coming from the inside out. We were fortunate enough to connect with Claire Ragoozzino who shared with us what she does to inspire the community through her amazing company Vidya Cleanse.
What do you do to inspire your community?
Creating and connecting community through food has always been my passion. I created my holistic nutrition and juice cleanse company, Vidya Cleanse, to empower people to reconnect with their highest self. My guided cleanse programs combine elements of Ayurveda, macrobiotics, raw food nutrition and yoga philosophy to inspire people to find their own inner wisdom and clarity. I love seeing the commitment to positive change and growth people make in their lives during the cleanse process. And now I’m launching Vidya Juice Co. as a daily resource to make this lifestyle more attainable for all!
What brought you to the mat for the first time?
When I was a young girl my mom was in a near-fatal car accident. After years of physical therapy, someone suggested she try yoga. At that time, there was only one yoga teacher in the area practicing a very traditional Hatha-style yoga. She began to heal and soon became a certified instructor. So my first time on the mat was when I was 7, we giggled so hard at the closing Aum we nearly peed our pants! But it wasn’t until I was 18 did I really begin to find my own practice with Ashtanga yoga. I fell in love, and that love affair has taken me to India and back with a deep respect for the lineage and all my teachers who have guided me along this path. I’m grateful to teach and share the practice each day.
Who and what inspires you?
My boyfriend! He has been a true teacher and a guiding light for me in many unexpected ways. As a talented yoga teacher, he continues to inspire me each day with his unconditional love and lifelong commitment to helping others.
How do you set intentions in your life?
I am constantly checking in with myself and clarifying what my intentions are. Without intention, sankalpa, your purpose becomes diluted. I actually take a pen to paper each night and write down what my intentions are to help clarify, solidify and manifest them.
What advice do you have for all the boho yogis out there?
“Travel the world until you find yourself.” – Straight from the manifesto itself, this advice speaks true to my gypsy-wandering heart! I’ve found the greatest lessons I’ve learned came from strangers I met along my path, from soul-connecting conversations in faraway places. So to all my boho sisters and brothers out there, live your truth and greet each adventure with an open heart.
What is your favorite mala and why?
My first Tiny Devotions mala was the “Honor Mala”. I chose this one because the intention behind it is about greeting every situation with your highest integrity. I also love amazonite because it’s all about the throat chakra, and to me, it means speaking your truth. Amazonite is actually called “The Stone of Truth”, and its energy is said to help you discover your own truth and integrity. Since finding clarity, Vidya, is what my business is all about – this mala will always be my favorite!
