7 Magical Ways to Make the Most of the Last of Summer

tumblr_n8zm3lrclm1st5lhmo1_1280If you are like me, summer is flying past quicker then you ever imagined it would. Which is especially true here where I live in Saskatchewan and all across North America. The Goddess of winter held on a little tighter then many of us would have liked…but that doesn’t make the sun shine any duller today! It’s time for and I to finally get serious about our summer-lovin’ routine…and have fun doing it!

Today I invite you to evoke your whimsical curiosity and free-spirited sense of adventure to make the most of the warm weather we have been blessed with. Here’s 7 magical things to do this summer to get the most out of every single moment!

1. Design a delicious Summer morning RITUAL – including a refreshing berry-infused tea with honey, a morning walk to clear your mind and morning journaling. Free write about a fairy tale you would love to live out and then set out to LIVE it.

2. Make a date with DESTINY Schedule to do 3 things you have been planning to do for years, but haven’t done just yet. Take lots of pictures of yourself creating this magic, so you can look back with excitement and gratitude of the wonderful experience you had.

3. Become your own HEALER.  Forget the diet and start to nourish yourself lovingly everyday. Skip the processed snacks and eat lots of bright, beautiful foods – bonus for creating a whimsical new real-foods recipe to share with friends! Smoothies – cocktails – dips – make it taste DIVINE!

4. Try something RADICALLY new – seriously, jump out of a plane, try stand up paddle boarding (SUP), start a book club or even experiment with moving meditation. Vanish your self-doubt like a magician with intentional actions that build your confidence and transform your beliefs about yourself.

5. Embody delightful CURIOSITY in everything you do. In Buddhism its called the Beginners Mind. In your Yoga practice, you are always a beginner. Let that be the most beautiful place to be. You will never have it all figured out…so you might as well see life as an adventure along the way!

6. Step into the MYSTERY of the unknown. Take an adventure into your own experience through your yoga practice, journalling or even a solo-escape. 24 hours. Just you, and you. Breath life into the part of yourself that you’ve hidden away and do what your heart calls you to do. Maybe she wants to write. Maybe she wants to dance. Explore that.

7.  Be a CATALYST for beautiful change. Spread the magic by inspiring the people around you to smile more authentically, laugh more joyfully and love more deeply. You already to this every day when you smile at strangers, listen to a friend without judgment or rub your puppy on her tummy. Do this more often and see your own happiness expand outwards!

How To Reach Your Fitness Goals, the Kind Way

ftLX2OaEXBM-twGkOqFThV4RL3q3kPVSRSSTi3cYrXk,I2WxsuhUFEA9jkWpQn78Qp3nfmubBVWGoOLwMAPfoco,9OmZXGbPdYo0cw_v0gVjNIXgs1kRbBcuuyhqrZwkMXoA super way to ignite your inner Boho while trying to get or stay fit is by doing an outside-without walls-no equipment needed-workout. You would rarely do something that doesn’t bring you joy, why would you ever put your free spirited self in a closed-in gym?

What makes exercise enjoyable to you — the freedom to do what you like when you like — may also be your downfall as you fight to follow some kind of routine. Here are some helpful hints to help reach your goals while staying aligned with your true north.
  • Go for a hike or to the beach with a friend instead of going out to lunch. Save money while being in nature and soaking up some rays.
  • Give yourself inspiring reasons to exercise. Not every workout can be epic, so remind yourself that being consistent, even if things get a little boring, will help you have more fun later. If you keep your body strong and fit, you’ll be ready for those fun + unexpected activities like cliff jumping, dancing + skiing.
  • Keep having fun. If things get dull, think of what you could do to spice things up — maybe taking a scuba diving course or a pole-dancing class. As a fun-lover, your friends may look to you to come up with new ideas for being active and having fun. Use that aspect of your personality and your confidence to constantly push your boundaries.
  • Remember that the majority of what shows on the outside is what’s happening on the inside. Most important is making sure you are truly happy and doing things that bring you joy. Stay on your path of truth and remind yourself daily of your intentions.
Most of your “fitness” happens in the kitchen, so be sure to keep Philosophie Superfoods in your travel bag so you can sprinkle some on your food while you’re on the run. Make sure you eat as many colors in the day as possible and keep trying new foods so you don’t get in a rut! The fresher, the better. Keep it simple while continuing to challenge yourself to stay out of any box. Use your inner compass to navigate what to eat when, tuning in to get the answer not falling into trend traps.
